WHEN YOU’RE TIRED BUT STILL CALLED TO CREATE

TL;DR: Burnout doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’ve been giving. If you’re tired, you’re not alone — here’s how we’re navigating it without losing the spark.

We’re not going to pretend it’s easy.

Balancing art, business, parenting, marriage, and the constant pressure to show up online can drain even the most passionate people.

And when creativity is your job?

It gets complicated fast.

Because when you burn out, the world doesn’t stop asking for your magic.

The algorithms still want content.

The clients still want answers.

And your own brain still wants you to be exceptional — even when you’re running on crumbs.

We know that feeling.

And we want to say this clearly:

You are still an artist when you’re tired.

You are still valuable when you’re resting.

You are not lazy for needing a pause.

Here’s what’s been helping us lately:

🌱 Make rest a requirement, not a reward.

You don’t have to earn rest. You need it in order to keep going.

Block it out. Prioritize it.

🎯 Set smaller goals.

Not everything needs to be “big.” Progress can look like one email.

One sketch. One deep breath.

🧠 Do the easy wins first.

Sometimes momentum starts with a task that takes 2 minutes. Let that carry you into the next thing.

💬 Talk to people who get it.

Isolation is sneaky. Vent. Pray. Text someone. Don’t go quiet — even if it’s messy.

🎨 Reconnect with joy.

Do something creative just for you. No camera. No client. No outcome. Just joy.

And finally…If you’re in a season of burnout, that doesn’t cancel your calling.

It just means your body and spirit need attention.

Give them what they need.

You’ll paint again.

You’ll create again.

You’ll feel like yourself again.

But for now, just breathe.
