SOMETIMES THE HARDEST PART IS JUST… THINKING STRAIGHT

TL;DR: Being your own boss sounds great — until you realize your brain is doing 40 jobs at once. Here's how we protect our focus (and our sanity).

No one really talks about the mental load of running a business.
It’s not just the tasks. It’s the thinking.
The constant decision-making.
The mental tabs you’ve got open at all times.
The way your brain tries to run marketing, admin, customer service, content creation, finances, and vision-casting all before 10am.
It’s a lot.
And if you don’t learn how to protect your focus, you’ll be busy all day and still feel like you got nothing done.
Here’s what’s helped us clear the mental fog and actually move forward:
1. BRAINDUMP > BURNOUT
Stop trying to hold everything in your head. Write it all down. Dump the entire cloud of mental chaos onto paper or a Google Doc. You’ll instantly feel lighter — and you’ll see what actually matters.
2. ONE THING PER HOUR
We started blocking our time by the hour. One goal per hour. No switching tabs. No answering DMs mid-task. Just one thing at a time. It’s way less glamorous than multitasking — but it works.
For the days you really wanna do it like a pro, put your phone in another room and let it entertain itself for a while. Those notifications will still be there after you've chased your dreams.
3. WEEKLY CEO TIME
No emails. No execution. Just high-level thinking. We do this every week now — to zoom out, review what’s working, and refocus before we dive back into the hustle. It’s like cleaning out the junk drawer in your brain.
Your brain is your most valuable business tool. Protect it.
Turn the volume down. Think slower.
The clarity you’re looking for isn’t in a new app — it’s in less noise.
