WHAT NATURE TAUGHT US ABOUT RUNNING A BUSINESS

TL;DR: Trees aren’t in a rush — and they still grow. Nature doesn’t hustle, and yet everything gets done. Business lessons? Everywhere.

We’ve been trying to pay more attention to the way nature works.

Not in a “frolic in the forest” kind of way (though no shade if that’s your thing).

More like: what does the earth know that we’ve forgotten?

Turns out… a lot.

We’re running a business in a world that glorifies speed. More content. More pressure. More output. And yet — outside our windows, nothing in nature rushes, and somehow it all still grows.

Here’s what we’re learning from it:

1. THE ROOTS ALWAYS GROW FIRST

Before anything blooms above ground, there’s unseen growth happening underneath. Same with business. Your systems, your mindset, your structure — it all has to grow before people start noticing. That quiet season isn’t failure. It’s foundation.

2. EVERY SEASON SERVES A PURPOSE

Winter looks like nothing’s happening. But rest is work, too. Same with us. Some seasons are for launching, some are for building, some are for chilling out and collecting yourself. You don’t have to bloom year-round.

3. SUN + WATER + TIME = GROWTH

No tree survives on sunshine alone. It needs dark soil. Deep roots. Water. Time. Same with your business — it’s not just about hype and visibility. You need nourishment, consistency, and space to breathe.

We’re learning to trust that pace.

To be okay with quiet seasons.

To keep building like roots — deep and unseen — so when the growth shows up, it’s sustainable.

If you're in a season of slow growth? That’s still growth.
